Where to watch Marvel's Inhumans
In the US, Marvel's Inhumans streams on Disney Plus, included with a standard subscription. It originally aired on network TV, so many viewers are surprised to find it sitting next to the newer Marvel Studios shows in the same app. Outside the US, availability varies by country, and the watch box on this page shows the options for your region.
With 8 episodes of about 42 minutes each, the full season runs around five and a half hours. That is short enough for a single long weekend day, or two relaxed evenings.
Where Marvel's Inhumans fits in the watch order
Inhumans was released in 2017 by Marvel Television, the studio that also made Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Netflix series. It is set in 2017 but never mentions the Avengers or the events of the films, so it stands entirely on its own.
Our list sorts it by that story year, so it comes right after Thor: Ragnarok, a film set in the same year, and right before Marvel's Runaways, a Hulu show about teenagers who discover their parents are villains. Cloak & Dagger follows, and only then does the list return to the films with Ant-Man and the Wasp. Those neighbors share a period, not a plot. If you are working through every Marvel Television series, this is the spot. If not, you can leave it out without any gap in the main story.

What the series is about (no spoilers)
The Inhumans are a race of super-powered beings who live in Attilan, a hidden city on the Moon. Their king, Black Bolt, cannot speak, because the slightest sound from his voice can destroy whatever is in front of him. He rules with his queen, Medusa, whose living hair works like an extra pair of arms.
Black Bolt's brother Maximus has no powers, and he resents a system that judges everyone by what they gain when they come of age. When he stages a coup, the royal family is scattered across Hawaii. Each of them has to survive among humans, stripped of their usual status, while trying to find each other and take back their home. Lockjaw, a giant teleporting dog, helps where he can, and many viewers find him the most charming part of the show.
The most interesting idea here is the class system of Attilan. Maximus is a villain, yet his complaint about a society that ranks people by birth and power has real bite, and the series gets its best scenes out of that tension.
Is Marvel's Inhumans worth watching?
We rate it optional, and for most viewers it is an easy skip. The series was poorly received and ended after one season, and Marvel did not continue its storyline. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had already covered the Inhumans from a different angle, and that version is more developed.
There is one fun connection, though. Anson Mount, who plays Black Bolt here, later appears as a different version of the character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Knowing this series makes that cameo land as a wink, but it is not required to enjoy the film.
Who should give it a try? Completionists, fans of the Inhumans from the comics, and anyone curious about how Marvel Television handled its characters before Marvel Studios took over TV.
Cast and characters
Scott Buck runs the show. Anson Mount plays Black Bolt, communicating entirely through sign language and expression. Serinda Swan is Medusa, the queen and the family's strongest voice. Iwan Rheon plays Maximus, a sympathetic and dangerous villain and the most memorable part of the series. Isabelle Cornish is Crystal, Medusa's younger sister, who controls the elements. Ken Leung plays Karnak, who sees the flaw in anything, and Eme Ikwuakor is Gorgon, the royal family's powerful cousin.
