Who Hunter B-15 is
The Time Variance Authority, or TVA, exists outside of time and keeps history on its "proper" path. Anyone who strays from that path is a variant, and hunters like B-15 are the ones sent to capture them. She leads her armed squad, the Minutemen, with zero patience for excuses. If you are a variant, she is the last person you want to see coming through a time door.
When the series begins, she believes completely in the TVA's mission. She does not question orders, and she has little interest in the analyst Mobius's unusual idea of using a variant of Loki to catch another one. That certainty is what makes her turn so effective.
Where Hunter B-15 appears
- Loki (2021): her introduction and full character arc.
- Deadpool & Wolverine (2024): a brief return in a film where the TVA plays a big part.
Loki is marked essential and Deadpool & Wolverine is recommended. She has no other appearances in the cast credits.
From loyal hunter to doubter
B-15 is one of the first people to confront the God of Mischief in the series, and she treats him as just another criminal. Things change during a mission into a dangerous apocalypse, when an encounter with a mysterious variant forces her to see something she was never supposed to remember. Without spoiling it: she realizes that the TVA's workers may have had lives before they wore the uniform.
From that point she is a different person. The cold rule-follower becomes someone trying to work out what is true and whose side she is really on. The series uses her as a window into the TVA's biggest lie, and her shift from enforcer to ally is one of its best supporting arcs.
The TVA around her
B-15 works alongside Mobius, the curious analyst who treats Loki as a project, and under Ravonna Renslayer, a senior judge with her own secrets. Miss Minutes, the cheerful animated clock, is the TVA's mascot and much more than she seems. Sylvie, the variant whose path crosses B-15's, is the reason her worldview cracks. Each of them pushes her in a different direction, and the Loki series is at its best when she shares the screen with them.
Wunmi Mosaku in the role
Wunmi Mosaku gives B-15 a stern, guarded presence, then lets that shell break in a few precise scenes. You can see the doubt arrive on her face before she says a word. Outside the MCU, she is known for the horror film His House, the series Lovecraft Country, and Sinners, the Ryan Coogler film in which she plays Annie.
How to watch her story
Watch Loki first. Everything that matters about B-15 happens there, and the series follows directly from an event in Avengers: Endgame, so seeing that film beforehand helps. Then watch Deadpool & Wolverine, where her appearance is short but more satisfying once you know her history with the TVA. Since the film is rated R, keep that in mind for younger viewers. Our full Marvel character guide has pages for many of the other heroes and villains she meets along the way.
