Does Spider-Man: Brand New Day have a post-credit scene?
We do not list any confirmed extra scenes for this film yet, and we would rather say so than guess. Marvel Studios movies almost always include at least one scene during or after the credits, and every earlier Spider-Man film with Tom Holland had two, so plan on sitting through the full credits whether you watch in a theater or at home.
Two habits help. Do not leave when the first wave of stylized credits ends, because mid-credits scenes usually appear right after it. And if you watch at home, let the long scrolling list finish, since the very last scene in a Marvel film is often a joke or a quick tease that is easy to miss.
| Film | Credit scenes |
|---|
| Spider-Man: Homecoming | Two: one mid-credits, one at the very end |
| Spider-Man: Far From Home | Two: one mid-credits, one at the very end |
| Spider-Man: No Way Home | Two: one mid-credits, one at the very end |
| Spider-Man: Brand New Day | Not confirmed in our data yet |

Spider-Man: Brand New Day explained: the premise without spoilers
Peter is Spider-Man around the clock now. With nobody left who knows his name, he fights crime full-time and keeps his distance from the people he used to be closest to. Seeing them move forward takes a toll, and it sets off a change in him that he may not be able to control.
That same change could also be the only way to stop a dangerous new threat to New York and the people Peter cares about: a powerful villain no one can see. We will leave the details there, because the twists are best discovered on screen.
The film to see first
Spider-Man: No Way Home is the one you need. Brand New Day starts with Peter living in a world that no longer remembers him, and that situation comes straight out of No Way Home's ending. There is no long recap, so skipping it leaves the premise hanging. Homecoming and Far From Home build Peter's friendships with Ned and MJ, which is what makes their absence sting here. Our Spider-Man Marvel movies in order guide lists every appearance, Avengers team-ups included.
Where it fits in Phase 6
On our story timeline, Brand New Day comes after the series Wonder Man and before the series VisionQuest. Among the films, it follows The Fantastic 4: First Steps and leads toward Avengers: Doomsday. Its exact in-story year has not been pinned down. Our Marvel Phase 6 in order guide shows the rest of the phase in sequence.
We rate it recommended rather than essential. You will get the most from it as a Spider-Man fan, and it is easy to follow if No Way Home is fresh in your mind.
Returning faces: Bruce Banner and Frank Castle
Mark Ruffalo is back as Bruce Banner, so the Avengers films and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law fill in where Banner stands before he crosses paths with Peter.
Jon Bernthal plays Frank Castle, the Punisher. If you want his background in order, start with Marvel's Daredevil, continue with Marvel's The Punisher and finish with Daredevil: Born Again. You can enjoy Brand New Day without any of these. They simply mean you will know exactly who Frank is when he turns up.
Cast and director
Destin Daniel Cretton directs. He previously made Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for Marvel, so this is his second MCU feature. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, with Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. Mark Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner, Jon Bernthal plays Frank Castle, and Sadie Sink also joins the cast.
What comes next
In story order, the next title is VisionQuest, and the next film is Avengers: Doomsday. If Peter's new situation has you curious about what follows, those are the places to look, although our data does not yet say how much of his story carries forward.
